I grew up in a deprived town in the Scottish Highlands, speaking Scottish Gaelic as my first language. I was introduced to Film through FilmG, winning Best Young Filmmaker at FilmG in 2019. I went on to study Film at Edinburgh Napier University (Screen Academy), graduating in 2024 with First-class honours. I then completed a Master's degree in Edinburgh Napier University, graduating in 2025.
Throughout my time studying film, I've written and produced numerous short film projects in both English and Scottish Gaelic languages. Connection (2023), written and produced by myself, won Best Drama and Best Screenplay at the Wonderful World International Student Media Art Festival out of more than 1000 submissions. I recently edited, directed, shot, and produced a music video for Limonead's single Nach Buidhe Dhut, an up and coming Gaelic rap star originating from my Highland hometown, which has been nominated for the People's Choice award at FilmG 2026.
