COMPOSTABLE FOOD SERVICE PACKAGING
Vegware is a global specialist in plant-based compostable foodservice packaging, based in Edinburgh. Their award-winning catering disposables are made from plants, using renewable or recycled materials. With a range of over 500 products, Vegware is a perfect partner for film and TV caterers. Vegware also has a dedicated team of waste management consultants who have spent a decade building links with the waste sector & increasing access to industrial composting.
In Close the Loop, Vegware operates its own composting service which has helped organisations across the central belt of Scotland compost their used Vegware packaging & food scraps. They have supported many customers in the film & TV industry by collecting used Vegware & food scraps from locations & studios, before taking them to a specialist composting facility near Perth. In under 12 weeks the catering ‘waste’ is turned into high-grade compost for use on local agriculture and horticulture.
