I’m a Scottish film and television director with decades of experience across feature films, high-end television, and award-winning commercials. 

My work is known for visually striking, emotionally grounded storytelling, blending strong performances with cinematic scale. I’ve directed intimate, character-led drama, including the acclaimed feature Edie, as well as large-scale, technically complex productions and demanding location-based shoots. 

Having made films across Scotland and internationally, I bring a deep understanding of landscape, atmosphere, and how place shapes story. I’m highly collaborative, comfortable leading crews, and experienced in working closely with writers, actors, DOPs, and producers to deliver confident, precise storytelling that connects with audiences and serves the story at every level.
