Ian is a Scottish Director of Photography based in London & Scotland, holding both British and Irish (EU) passports. Recent credits include Into the Deep (Sky Cinema), The Severed Sun (DarkSky/Grasp The Nettle), 2nd Unit DoP on Fifteen Love (Amazon/World Productions), and 2nd Unit DoP on Heartstopper (Seasons 2 & 3, Netflix/See-Saw Films).

Ian’s short film work includes the BAFTA and BIFA award-winning Edmond, and The Sermon, a folk-horror that premiered at BFI Flare and screened at Palm Springs, HollyShorts, and Sitges. His projects have also screened at Sundance, SXSW, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Encounters, Annecy, and Camerimage.

Nominated as a BSC Emerging Cinematographer in 2015, Ian holds a Master’s from the National Film and Television School (BAFTA Scholarship). He also received mentorship through the BSC/ACO Mentoring Programme and holds a First-Class BA (Hons) from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design.
